The Media Centre in Huddersfield is a thriving community of media businesses and creative enterprises. 25 minutes from Leeds and Manchester, it provides 72 serviced offices, with 24-hour access, a "virtual office address" and even a range of 21 apartments offering occupants the chance to work from home whilst still being a part of the centre. The offices have broadband internet access, ISDN lines and a digital telephone system. Facilities include conference or seminar rooms, meeting rooms and a café bar which seats up to 100 people. QUI ADORO
Qui Adoro is an alternative department store, based in Dewsbury, with space for artists and crafts people to sell their works. Space can be from as little as £10 per week for a couple of shelves and we don't take any commission. Wall and shelf space available. We are trying to create an environment where people can buy a range of products that are not easy to buy in North Kirklees.
Due to open on August 12th 2006, some space is still available, We will be opening phase two in another month and will have even more space for creative products. Phase three with even more space still comes after Christmas.

It's a large open space with separate toilets, which unfortunately have no disabled access. There is access to the space itself via a lift & there is a disabled toilet on the ground floor. The space is available during office hours, Monday to Saturday (9:00 - 17:00) Charges are £50 a day or £200 a week (6 days), The space is not soundproof and is unsuitable for most band/music rehearsal.
On receipt of a deposit of £25/10% of the total cost (whichever is greater) and signing the terms & conditions contract, the keys to the space will be given to the responsible person.

Once the world's largest carpet mill, Dean Clough is now a major business park that incorporates galleries, performance spaces and rent-free artists studios. The artists in the 25 studio spaces are in no sense a 'school' and work in a variety of media including sculpture, painting and digital techniques. Applications for the studios are reviewed by a committee of artists and management, although spaces only become available on an ad hoc basis. It is advisable to check the availability of studio spaces by email before applying. Formal applications (CV, illustration of work practice and a covering letter) should be sent the above address.
