Shadow theatre and marionette show
Indigo Moon Theatre Co. are delighted to have been successful in their funding bid to Arts Council England to produce their new show 'Alice and the White Rabbit'. This mediaeval - style adaptation will be inspired by local church carvings in Beverley (where Lewis Carroll's original white rabbit was inspired) and use shadow theatre and marionettes.
Thanks to further subsidy from Hull City Arts they are able to perform up to twelve shows in Hull schools at half price. Three of these have been booked already, and Indigo Moon are now looking for:
- one more Hull Primary school which wants a single show at a cost of just £108 (inclusive of transport)
- four larger Hull Primary schools which would like two shows in the same day for just £158 (inclusive of transport
The only technical limitation is that the show requires a hall with black out (or at least pretty dark) in order for the digital projections and shadows to be effective. It is expected that these shows will be booked for dates between late September and November 2007 though there is some flexibility at present (June and July are still a possibility).
