1-31 October 2008
Registration online!
The Big Draw, an initiative run by The Campaign for Drawing, is a month-long season of free
events that aims to get everyone drawing. And you can organise your own! All you need to do is plan
and lead your own art event in a school, gallery, museum, library or other community space and get
people to come along!
The Big Draw’s main focus is mid-October, with Big Draw Day on Saturday 11, but you can opt
for any October dates. You may even decide to run your event earlier in the summer, but hold its
finale, or exhibit the results, in October. The choice is yours! Just make drawing your main focus
and use our logo on all promotional materials. If you document your event, you can apply afterwards
for a Drawing Inspiration Award worth £750 - £1500, and your event may feature in next year’s good
practice book – to inspire others.
If you are new to The Big Draw, or want to try something different, you can download a wealth
of information from our website, including information on past events and advice on planning and
delivering events. Once you are registered, you will receive regular e-newsletters, telling you
about new developments and opportunities.
