Flying Start, Northern Edge and Arts Council England: Programme for Arts and Social Enterprise
As part of our HE development work the three northern regions are involved in a graduate development scheme to support arts and social enterprise start-ups in visual and performing arts.
We are working in partnership with the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship who are keen to support creative industries development.
The Flying Start programme will fund a three day intensive arts and social enterprise start-up course for 40 graduates (new to 4 years post-graduation) from across the NE, NW and Y regions to participate free of charge.
This course will be further supported over the following year by a programme of e-learning, mentoring and follow up events.
As part of the application process all graduates will have to submit a business proposal and commit to business start up over the following year.
