Businesses in Rotherham are being encouraged to take their share of £1million of European grant aid and take advantage of support with new, interactive three-dimensional computer imaging. The technology revolutionises product design, communication and marketing and dramatically cuts speed to market and product development costs.
The cash and in-kind support is available from the South Yorkshire Leading Edge Technology Solutions (LETS) project, partly funded by Objective 1.
LETS director, Paul Thorpe, said:
"'LETS' technology really has to be seen to be believed and gives Rotherham's SMEs low-cost, local access to the kind of world-class technology advantages previously the sole preserve of major international corporations.
In the past, cost has often been a key factor in preventing Rotherham businesses adopting new technology applications, but financial support from the EU means South Yorkshire companies are entitled to discounts of up to 50% on true commercial costs. Budgets for several current projects start from just a few hundred pounds, while LETS support is helping achieve savings and sales ranging from tens of thousands to several million pounds."
