Private View 11th of March @ 1:00pm
You are cordially invited to the preview of Artifactuality, a show of new paintings by John Crossley.
Saturday 11th of March at 1p.m.
A politically charged collection of paintings from the former Leeds 13 artist exploring the role of media images in shaping popular opinion. The ten paintings cover subjects from world leaders to a football fan and a page 3 girl, all rendered in the style of digital pixels. The works are motivated by the question; why does the media represent reality as it does and what effect does its approach have on political opinion, national identity, demand for consumer products and the ideal body image?
Exhibition runs from 11th of March to 30th May
Opening times: Monday - Saturday 10 - 5, Wednesday 10 -8, Sunday 1- 5
Closed on Bank Holidays
