Mark Chandler Brass TuitionMy name is Mark Chandler. I am a music teacher of brass instruments. I specialise in cornet / trumpet and theory of music, teaching at all levels from beginners to professionals.
Due to home circumstances, an autistic son whom is having home tuition, I am rearranging my working life. This means increasing music teaching over performing.
My performing life has involved working with musicians and artists such as:
Barbra Streisand, Cleo Lane, John Dankworth, Scottish Chamber Orch, BBC Big Band, Shirley Bassey, Pouges, Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons, Wogan Shows, London Shows: 42nd Street, Guys & Dolls, Cats.
Lessons are on a One to One basis for pupils of any age and ability. One to One tuition allows full attention to be given to each pupil, which experience has shown produces greater confidence. Beginners start learning the basics of playing along with ear training. More advanced players are taught according to the type of music they wish to play. In all cases a consultation lesson will allow time to discuss a pupils wishes as well as a short time to experience my teaching methods.
Theory can be taught as a separate lesson or combined with the main instrument lesson.
Jazz improvisation can be started at any level of ability and can be very beneficial for aural development.
