Chocolate Fireguard artist wins success
Huddersfield-based record label Chocolate Fireguard, who recorded and released French twin town hip hop crew LA Cedille's 'Vu Du Large' album in Huddersfield, are pleased to announce the success of the band and their recent acclaim in their native France.
LA Cedille from Besançon, Huddersfield's twin town in France, were, until recently, a relatively unknown band. Besançon has never been renowned for its production of hip hop crews but LA Cedille, Besançon's first, have gone on to win one of the 15 places in the prestigious annual National competition - Le Fair.
Now key track 'Hume' from their debut album 'Vu Du Large' (Chocolate Fireguard) will feature on a special LE FAIR compilation (9000 copies). They will receive mentoring at "Studio des varietés" in Paris. Their music will be promoted on French radio and media networks (and worldwide). They will be interviewed in renowned newspapers like "Liberation", "Rock and Folk" and MCM will announce all LA Cedille's gigs via a promotion on large posters across Paris. It is a real success story, both for LA Cedille and for Chocolate Firegard.
In 2006, LA Cedille will go on to receive even more support from France; mentoring, posters, flyers and tour support for example
They have also played their first serious Paris gig at Elysee Montmartre, supporting Herbaliser, to about 1000 people.
