Doncaster Rovers fans The Alyscamps release their debut single, ‘Came Back Stronger’ on local
label Circuit Records on 27th October 2008.
You might expect a band named after a French Roman burial ground to produce songs filled with
unnecessary flamboyance, but instead, the Doncaster quintet are kings of the anthem, writing ‘shout
along’ choruses that would not be out of place on any kop on any given Saturday.
The band, whose original line up featured Eric Clapton’s daughter, Ruth, have toured extensively
and gained rave reviews from the local, regional and national press. In early 2008, they played on
home ground as part of Doncaster Music Week and have subsequently recorded ‘Came Back Stronger’
with local label Circuit Records, run by not-for-profit recording studio, Higher Rhythm.
‘Came Back Stronger’ truly celebrates Doncaster Rovers attitude in the 07-08 promotion season
which has carried on into the first season in the Coca-Cola Championship, and with this in mind,
Circuit Records and The Alyscamps have teamed up with the Rovers to provide this rousing anthem for
the home crowd.
The track will be released on Monday 27th October 2008 but is available now on pre-order by
either visiting www.circuitrecords.co.uk or simply texting STRONGER to 81088
